Parry Nutraceuticals' Organic Spirulina certification under USDA NOP is based on the 21st Oct 2005 USDA NOP Final Standards, which restricts use of Chilean nitrate as the Nitrogen source. Parry uses a vegetarian source of Nitrogen and Phosphorous for their Organic Spirulina cultivation. Parry Nutraceuticals also has received declaration from the certifying bodies - IMO , Switzerland & Naturland , Germany - to this effect.
Parry Nutraceuticals' Organic Spirulina certification under Naturland , Germany is based on Naturland Organic Standards of January 2006 under 'Processing standards for the production of microalgae and microalgae products'. Naturland is one of the major certifying bodies for organic produce , on a global level and mainly in the EU market.
Effective 7th August 2006 , Parry Nutraceuticals' Organic Spirulina facility has been certified as per the IFOAM ( International Federation for Organic Agriculture Movement ) standards by OCIA , USA .OCIA has certified Parry's Organic Spirulina powder and Organic Spirulina tablets as per IFOAM 2005 Standards, 9.3 for Aquatic Plants.
